A couple asked to see samples for their upcoming wedding at the Marriott Lincolnshire. I was so happy to have an excuse to highlight these images! Judy and Sam had a traditional jewish wedding, complete with tish and bedeken ceremonies-spirited, joyful, boisterous. As a photojournalist, I am elated to be in the middle of it all!
Lea is the 3rd sister (and 3rd wedding) I have photographed for this Italian family! She and Mike picked one of the prettiest places in Chicago for their nuptials, The Shrine of our Lady of Pompeii, where a large group photo in front of the church post ceremony is a tradition. Notable details at the burgundy toned Venuti's reception included corked namecards, a grape topped wedding cake, takeaway wine gift, and magnum placed at each table-produced, bottled, and labeled by the bride's father!
I had the pleasure of meeting and working with this family of 7 for a portrait session on our lovely Lake Michigan. It was one of those misty, cool November afternoons-a great time for shooting outdoors with lighting concurrently moody, tranquil, and dreamy. Thank you for traveling over an hour to do this with me! I hope it becomes an annual tradition.
Brad & Elizabeth love Chicago. They are also huge foodies and wanted to treat their guests to the best this city has to offer. St. James Chapel (the old Quigley Seminary) was the setting for their vows. The bridal party unwound on the trolley and we had a great time taking pictures at Museum Campus and Millennium Park. The cocktail and dinner reception at Mid America Club provided spectacular views!
What a captivating couple! The day started at The Hyatt Lodge on the McDonald's Oak Brook campus. Nuptials took place at the serene fountain pool of Brookfield Zoo (where a peacock attended and entertained guests). Dinner and dancing were held in one of the Zoo's new event pavillions~perfect for a summer evening!
How lucky are we to have prairie, Lake Michigan and this gem of a city for a backdrop?
