This is such a lovely example of how it all comes together-with some help. I wasn't surprised to find out the fitting, lovingly crafted floral displays were the work of Fleur. A welcome etsy find are the rustic, chic printed printed materials from Beacon Lane. The crew from Hearty Boys catering was-as always-fun, generous, relaxed, and professional. They also create one of the best vegetarian dishes around! All of this was enjoyed after an Old St. Michaels ceremony and some picture taking around town.
A few people are inquiring about having a 'portrait station' set up at their event. This is a great way for family and friends to have a professional photograph taken while everyone is looking great and in fine spirits ; ) Here are a few samples of what we can do; Natural. Authentic. Creative. Fun. All images are originally captured in color (just shown here in b&w).
A couple asked to see samples for their upcoming wedding at the Marriott Lincolnshire. I was so happy to have an excuse to highlight these images! Judy and Sam had a very traditional jewish wedding, complete with tish and bedeken ceremonies. These are spirited, joyful, and boisterous affairs. As a photojournalist, I am elated to be in the middle of it all!
Lea is the 3rd sister (and 3rd wedding) I have photographed for this Italian family! She and Mike picked one of the prettiest places in Chicago for their nuptials, The Shrine of our Lady of Pompeii, where a large group photo in front of the church post ceremony is a tradition. Notable details at the burgundy toned Venuti's reception included corked namecards, a grape topped wedding cake, takeaway wine gift, and magnum placed at each table-produced, bottled, and labeled by the bride's father!
I had the pleasure of meeting and working with this family of 7 for a portrait session on our lovely Lake Michigan. It was one of those misty, cool November afternoons-a great time for shooting outdoors with lighting concurrently moody, tranquil, and dreamy. Thank you for traveling over an hour to do this with me! I hope it becomes an annual tradition.
