Engagement Season!

The Morton Arboretum is a lovely spot for portraiture (not to mention weddings). This outdoor nature area boasts 16 miles of trails interspersed with ponds, artwork, gardens, and a plethora of trees and other structures to use as backdrop. Congratulations to all the engaged couples out there~

"Susan Ryan is the BEST!"

An unsolicited testimonial from one of my lovelies...many thanks for appreciating my work! As seen on www.theknot.com and www.weddingchannel.com

Susan Ryan is the BEST!
I don't know how she did it but Susan took over 500 pictures at my wedding and I can't find any bad ones! I'm usually very critical of pictures of myself but I have nothing bad to say about the photographs Susan took. The angles are so natural, the images are not posed and the lighting is perfect in all of them. It's difficult to get a good picture of my husband but she managed to make that happen too. I am extremely happy with the photos. Everyone I sent the link to was overly complimenting me on how great they are and, in particular, how great my photographer was. Susan also took our engagement pictures which are just as fabulous as the wedding pictures! Susan is so easy going and comfortable to be around. She takes care of everything. I didn't even know she was there half the time. I can't say enough about how much I love the pictures! For a day as important as your wedding day, I highly recommend Susan Ryan for your wedding photographer. Susan, thank you!!

Dear Susan, Thank You So Much for capturing our wedding. Your work speaks for itself, the photos are Amazing! The photo album is beautiful - our guests were able to relive the wedding again, and family and friends who did not attend, were able to feel as if they were celebrating with us. We will forever cherish these photos - Thank You for the beautiful story! It was a pleasure to work with you - you truly have an exceptional talent. Thank You again, and we look forward to working with you in the future, Inna & Michael

Creative ways to display your photos

Jessica wanted to show off portraits from her engagement portrait session. When she told me she was going to use "French Boards" she received as a shower gift to exhibit the images at her wedding reception, I wasn't sure what to expect. Her display talents pulled it off in a lovely and creative way!

More vintage style

Wow! The Hotel Baker in St. Charles is a gem of a place. Romantic, colorful, charming. Ashley and Justin were enthralled with each other in this lovely setting. The ceremony & cocktail hour were outdoors while dinner and dancing took place on their colorful checkered light floor.
